Coconut chutney On Eid

Coconut chutney is a very delicious relish used with snack and rotis. It is also very healthy as coconut is very good dry fruit and keeps your blood clean. Coconut trees are abundant near sea and people also love to drink coconut water. The pulp of coconut is used in garnishing and is eaten with delight.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Lemon juice
  • 6 green chilies
  • 1/2 Coconut grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Method:

Grind green chilies and coconut into a even paste by sprinkling a modest water. Spice it with fried mustard. Add salt to taste and lemon juice, combine well and dish up.

This kind of relish can be utilized as side dish for refreshments like Bonda, Baji, Vada, etc. they are invented by southern Indians as there are many coconut trees there and they used it with many dishes.  It is also used with many western dishes.
